Condition:Used

Up for auction is a set of VW pistons and cylinders that are 85mm.  It is the stock size and came off a running engine.  It is used and completely usable.  I left the grime on so everyone could see that it came off an engine.  All it needs is a good cleaning and re-ringing and your good to go.  There is slight damage to one of the cylinders.  I got a little carried away with my rubber mallet and knocked-off some of the cooling fins. The location of the damage won't affect the cooling of the engine in any way.

Lincoln MKT concept

Mon, 14 Jan 2008

By Liz Turner First Official Pictures 14 January 2008 17:27 Ford’s Geordie design boss, Peter Horbury is working hard to return long-neglected Lincoln from a brand driven by old ladies with poodles to the kind of luxury car presidents might ride (or get assassinated) in. The T in MKT stands for Touring, and he says: ‘When I think of touring, I imagine long journeys in extreme comfort.’ So passengers sit in seats inspired by the first-class cabin of an aircraft, surrounded by fine wood, leather and silk. It’s guilt-free luxury, though.

Carrying on while fatigued was worst among 18-34-year-old drivers, while Londoners were the ones most likely to continue when tired.

Nissan creates a self-cleaning Note – and this one’s for real. (video)

The Nissan Note that cleans itself The Sunday chore of cleaning the car is beloved (and loathed, in equal measure) by those who’d rather do it themselves than pay a man with a bucket, a sponge and a chamois  to oblige. But regular car washing – for anyone – could be a thing of the past thanks to a new nano-paint technology. The newly developed super-hydrophobic and oleophobic paint manages to repel water and oil, which means stuff like everyday dirt, mud and rain don’t have the chance to cling to the car’s paintwork.
