Hi Volks!

Here I have a cylinder head from a VW 1.5l NA diesel.  This will fit all 1.5l diesels and, with some adapters, will bolt on to 1.6l diesel blocks as well. 

These are part of a large pile of multiple redundant VW parts in my personal arsenal that I need to thin..  Most of my stockpile is Volkswagen 1.5, 1.6, and 1.9 NA and Turbo Diesel related. 

This is P/N:
058 103 373

  Appears to be in good running order:  Head warpage checked with straight edge in which I found approx. 0.07mm deflection in one small area- WELL within spec.  I was, and still am, tempted to pull the pre-combustion chambers out of this head and keep them because they are in such nice condition- No major cracks! Head appears to have no damaged threads.  Does have minor cracks between valves as is the custom in these engines-  Causes no usability concerns.  I assume this is a good usable head, as it was sold to me.

Details of UK's £5000 Plug-In Car Grants published

The Government has signed off the Plug-In Car Grants, giving details of which electric cars qualify for the £5000 grants. The incentive means that cars such as the Vauxhall Ampera will cost £28,995, GM confirmed today. Transport secretary Philip Hammond and business minister Mark Prisk announced the scheme and confirmed which areas will qualify for the second round of Plugged-In Places funding - allowing councils to install electric car recharging networks.

Elio Zagato dies at 88

The car world has lost one of its legends. Elio Zagato, son of Ugo Zagato, died earlier this week. He was 88.

Students from the Transportation Design Masters program at Spain's Elisava School of Design presented their work October 24th in the 2006 Degree Show entitled 'Mobility Techniques'. The Elisava Masters course in Transport Vehicle Design started seven years ago with the aim of providing new proposals for future transport through research and development of creative and innovative transport concepts. The course is taught in Barcelona, a worldwide reference for culture and design.
