This is a bulb socket for the front turn signal / corner lights of a B5 VW Passat (not B5.5 starting the late model year 2001) and Audi A4.  Unfortunately it is very common that the corner light self destructs and falls out, sometimes taking the bulbs and sockets with them to their final destination on the side of the road.  This one fits the 1998 – 2001 VW Passat, 1996 - 2001 Audi A4 and may also fit other years.

VW Design Vision GTI gets 500bhp: Worthersee

Wed, 08 May 2013

The Design Vision GTI is built to show what a Golf built for racing would look like – and perhaps point to future evolutions of VW’s most successful car – and is built on the same MQB platform as the regular GTI. It’s a bit shorter (15mm) than a regular Golf, a chunk wider (71mm) and a lot lower (57mm) which conspires to make the Design Vision GTI much more aggressive looking than its mainstream sibling. Power comes from a 3.0 litre V6 with two turbos – good for 500bhp and 413lb/ft of torque – which is driven to all four wheels through a DSG ‘box and can scoot to 62mph in a supercar-like 3.9 seconds on its way to 186mph.

Wed, 04 Jul 2012

While the story of the automobile is often more folkloric than factual, Bailey's belief in scholarship helped forge a solid, reliable record that might otherwise have been lost.
