This auction is for one new V28/VW71 KEY. Fits 1970-78 VW BEETLE ign/door/trunk.  These older key blanks are even getting hard to find at the locksmith and Ace Hardware. They are not fast sellers for them so they quit stocking them several years ago. I have bought key blanks myself off Ebay and I have taken it to Ace Hardware and they cut it for me. I currently have more than one on hand if you need a pair or more. Check to make sure this is correct for your vehicle. These parts came out of an (3 generation) closed parts store. I will be listing alot of parts.

Mercury gets a small car in 2011

Ford Motor Co. executives confirmed that Mercury will get a new car on the same platform as the Ford Focus. Ford executives told dealers Sunday at the National Automobile Dealers Association convention in Orlando, Fla., that the small Mercury is coming in 2011, the same year the Focus arrives.

Chrysler reportedly set to expand Toledo assembly plant

The Chrysler Group is planning to expand its Toledo, Ohio, assembly complex, adding a second shift and more than 1,100 jobs to the operation that currently builds the Jeep Liberty and Dodge Nitro SUVs, the Toledo Blade newspaper reported Thursday. The $365 million investment could be the first of several major expansions to Chrysler's Toledo operations, which also include production of the Jeep Wrangler at the nearby Toledo North Plant, the newspaper reported. The automaker disclosed the plans in documents filed in a city tax application that will be discussed by local officials at a meeting Thursday night, the report said.

Saab plans to restart production on Aug. 9

Saab owner Swedish Automobile NV said Thursday that the struggling automaker aims to restart production at its Trollhaetten plant in Sweden on Aug. 9. The news follows the Swedish government's approval of Swedish Automobile's request to sell part of Saab's property unit to a consortium of Swedish real estate investors, the company said in a release.
