This auction is for one (1) hoover bit. This is a rare factory cooling tin part that is usually left off of most rebuilt engines. It is called the "Hoover-Bit" (because of Bob Hoover preaching the importance of making sure everyones engine had one if these little tin pieces) and chances are if you are looking at this then you know about it and its importance. This little peice goes on the oil cooler and seals up the large gap that the doghouse fan shroud leaves. This increases airflow through the cooler and decreases your oil temps. This was factory equipment on all engines and is supposed to be in place for proper engine operation. you will get one hoover bit from the lot picture above, none are cracked or damaged and are fully functional (you may need to straighten them out a little with some pliers to make some perfect). I also have some that are not shown that have cracking where the little "leg" comes out and i can sell these for $20. a little tack weld and they will be as good as new again (if interested in a cracked one for $20 let me know). ALL in this auction are not cracked. I will ship aditional hoover bits for free if you want more than one. Here is a rare part at a great price.

XCar tests the Jaguar F-Type R coupe in Spain
Fri, 21 Mar 2014Host Alex Goy put the new hardtop Jaguar F-Type R coupe through its paces in the latest edition of XCar. Goy says the loud, red Jag was the first car he has been pulled over in during a shoot -- which must mean he’s either more restrained than we’d have guessed or just supremely lucky. The F-Type R is now the fastest Jaguar you can buy, with 543 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque on tap.

BMW recalls new 5-series
Wed, 28 Jul 2010BMW is recalling up to 12,400 new 5-series sedans that have defective fuel-tank sensors. Bloomberg reports that the fuel sensors can become wedged against the tank, causing the fuel gauge to display a higher amount of fuel than what is present. There have been 10 reported incidents of sedans being affected by the defect in the United States.
