£127k McLaren MP4-12C tops the bill at BCA Auction

A host of luxury and performance cars went under the hammer at the BCA Blackbushe Top Car Auction this week, including a McLaren MP4-12C and a nearly-new Jaguar F-Type. BCA said, "the high-end prestige and sports car market has a strong following with buyers and we have seen lots of interest in high value vehicles during 2013, with bidders prepared to invest six-figure sums for the right vehicle." Pagani releases Huayra documentary [w/video]

Italian manufacturer Pagani has put together a 14-minute documentary tracking the development of its new Huayra supercar. The short film heads to the companies that help to make the carbon and titanium-bodied Huayra, such as Italian company ASPA that creates the car's logo for an entire day out of a solid block of aluminum. The finer points of the design and development of the 230 mph car are also explored, as well as detailing how Leonardo Da Vinci inspired Horacio Pagani's original design.

NHRA marks Don Garlits's 80th birthday with fundraising Rat Roast
