While writing our show reports from the NAIAS, we shot some quickfire video footage of the key cars, grabbed an interview or two and arranged a debrief with Gavin Green, Tim Pollard and Jonny Smith to reflect on their personal interpretations of the show. Motorcycle News is reporting that Lotus, the beloved sportscar manufacturer that launched a thousand acronymic reliability jokes--"L.O.T.U.S, Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious"--has lent its name to a 200 HP, V-twin-powered superbike that is to be manufactured by a new company. While it does wear a lovely JPS-style livery, it's not clear where the lightness has been added or if it's been simplified.
Ford teams with Azure for hybrid F-Series Super Duty trucks
Thu, 28 Jul 2011Ford Motor Co., moving to expand its hybrid truck lineup, has signed a deal with Azure Dynamics Corp. to put plug-in hybrid powertrains in F-Series Super Duty trucks. Azure will retrofit the F-350, F-450 and F-550 trucks with its hybrid-electric drive trains.
