It's all about economies of scale these days, so don't be surprised that Skoda's whipped the covers off its take on the new Up city car just days after Volkswagen unveiled its own at Frankfurt. The new Skoda Citigo (see what they did there?) is the Czechs' sixth model line and will go on sale in UK dealers in summer 2012. Audi Q2 at Paris Motor Show?

The growing range of SUVs from Audi looks set to continue with the launch of the Audi Q2 at this year’s Paris Motor Show. It’s no secret that Audi is on a mission to fill every conceivable car niche you can imagine, and a big part of that plan is to introduce more SUVs in the Audi ‘Q’ range. This time last year we reported that Audi looks set to introduce the Q1, Q2, Q4 and Q6 in the coming years, with all but the Q1 set to be ‘Coupe SUVs’ aimed at style conscious buyers.

Opel to show range-extending hybrid at Geneva motor show

Opel, General Motors' European unit, will unveil its vehicle that uses the range-extending powertrain first shown in the Chevrolet Volt, at the Geneva motor show in March. On Monday, Opel said that the car will be named Ampera. The Ampera will have four seats and five doors.
