The Michelin Challenge Design 2013 competition deadline is fast approaching – you only have until 1 June to submit your designs. The theme of this year's competition is ‘HALF! Lightweight with a Passion', with entrants being asked to explore lightweight vehicle development by designing a family vehicle for four to six people.  The design has to adhere to consumers' safety and comfort needs as well as usability on current road infrastructure and production feasibility using modern technology, materials, powertrain solutions or manufacturing solutions.

Acura announces 2012 TSX pricing, special edition

The 2012 Acura TSX sedan and sports wagon gets a $200 price bump across the line, which puts the base model with a five-speed automatic at $30,695. Acura also announced a new Special Edition package ($31,695, including $885 destination) with upgrades to the exterior including a more aggressive front end, bumper and side sills. Seventeen-inch, five-spoke aluminum wheels get a dark gray finish, and a Special Edition badge adorns the trunk lid.

Autodesk held 'Automotive Days - Detroit 2009' on May 12th and 13th at the Townsend Hotel in Downtown Birmingham, Michigan, one of Detroit's more upscale communities. The two-day event focused on digital prototyping and included a variety of presentations - from advanced 3D visualization to engineering simulation. The audience of designers, engineers, and visualization experts listened to advancements that will help smooth the data flow from initial 2D sketches to engineered and ready-to-tool 3D CAD data.
