Waco style bag door like similar to the sesamee. Stamped Platt, I believe these people bought out Sesamme. These locks were marketed a few years back and are smaller that's the correct large size striker plate originally fitted on a Waco. Should work on all vintage aircraft.

Jaguar E-Type 50th: The Royal Mail Stamps

Wed, 30 Mar 2011

Jaguar E-Type 50th Anniversary Stamps (click image for full size) Motoring history will tell you that 1961 was the year of the Jaguar E-Type. The year it launched at the Geneva Motor Show and changed the way the world looked at Jaguar forever. The year that Enzo Ferrari called the E-Type the most beautiful car in the world, and the year the whole world – petrolhead or not – fell in love with Jaguar’s supercar for the masses.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse. It’s the final, final Gallardo. Probably.

Thu, 01 Aug 2013

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse (pictured) will debut at Frankfurt We did think Lamborghini had come to the end of the road with the Gallardo ahead of an all new Gallardo arriving in 2014, but they have one more trick up their sleeves to milk the last drop out of the most successful car in Lamborghini’s history – the Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse. The Squadra Corse is, in effect, a road-going version of the tgrack Super Trofeo – as was the Blancpain and the Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale – but this looks certain to be the last of the Gallardos. The Squadra Corse gets plenty of input from the Super Trofeo, with a carbon fibre rear wing, carbon ceramic brakes and a carbon fibre, removable, engine cover.

Ferrari LaFerrari lands in China: Shanghai Motor Show

Wed, 24 Apr 2013

Ferrari’s hybrid supercar was as eagerly received as it was in Geneva, with a sea of photographers, press and visitors thronging to get a glimpse of what is undeniably an impressive ‘F70′ from Ferrari. But looking good is perhaps the second ‘must have’ for a supercar – especially one that replaces the Enzo – and LaFerrari looks to deliver on the number one priority for most supercar buyers - performance. With 798bhp from its naturally aspirated V12 and an extra 161bhp from its electric motor, LaFerrari promises a dose of green credentials – important, to a degree, on China’s polluted roads – to go with its performance and handling, performance that can see the car it get to 62mph in under 3 seconds and on to a 186mph in an even more impressive 15.5 seconds.
