Dacia Duster SUV already selling well in UK

Despite no one in the UK yet having the chance to see or drive the new Dacia Duster SUV, Renault has taken over 1,000 orders. Renault has revealed that the Duster is selling well ahead of its arrival in the UK, despite none of its dealers having their own Duster to coax buyers in to a purchase. In the 100 days since the order book for the Dacia opened, Renault has taken more than 1,000 orders from all round the UK.

Stig test drives motorway pub

The BBC has released a video of the Stig test driving Britain’s first motorway pub, presumably as a way of promoting its new series of Top Gear. The video shows the Stig pull up at Beaconsfield services in a Vauxhall Insignia, before entering the Hope and Champion pub and posing for photos, and then ordering a pint of beer. It was Glorious Goodwood on the last weekend of March, for Lord March’s latest classic motorsport event – the 72nd Goodwood Members’ Meeting. It’s one of only two race weekend to be held at the circuit since it reopened in the late 1990s: Lord March wants it to complement the world-famous September Goodwood Revival and become known as a classic in its own right. The difference here is that, as its name suggests, it’s a members-only event: only Goodwood Road Racing Club members can buy tickets.
