Used car sales return to pre-recession levels
Fri, 27 Sep 2013As the UK’s buoyant new car sales figures continue to buck the European trend, it was only a matter of time before this had a positive knock-on effect on sales of used cars. Now, according to figures released in the latest BCA Used Car Market Report, used car sales hit 7.1 million last year, outpacing new car sales by 6.4% and, even more crucially, returning to pre-recession levels. GM's Henderson: Corvette's future is secure
Wed, 06 May 2009The future of the Chevrolet Corvette is secure, General Motors CEO Fritz Henderson says, even as GM dramatically slashes its size and costs. In an exclusive interview with AutoWeek, Henderson says that not only is the Corvette's current platform undergoing continual development, but the future seventh-generation car, dubbed the C7, also is on track. He would not specify when the C7 Vette would hit showrooms.

Fri, 16 Sep 2011Wulin Gaowa has been appointed to fill a newly-created role as GM China Advanced Design's first Design Director. She will start her new role with immediate effect. Gaowa, who was most recently the Advanced Design Director of Exterior Design and Interior at the Beijing Automotive Technology Center, will be based at GM China's Advanced Technical Center in Shanghai, due to open later this month.
