Suzuki S-Cross production version at Geneva 2013
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The Suzuki S-Cross – which arrived at the 2012 Paris Motor Show as a Concept – will arrive in production guise at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The Paris Motor Show last year saw Suzuki roll out a concept for a new C-segment crossover – the Suzuki S-Cross Concept – which was clearly close to production ready. So it’s no surprise that the production version of the Suzuki S-Cross is arriving at the Geneva Motor Show next month – before heading for a Suzuki dealer near you by the end of 2013 – looking very faithful to the S-Cross Concept design.
New Ford Mondeo to get new 1.5 litre EcoBoost engine
Fri, 12 Apr 2013The new EcoBoost engine will also be turning up in the Ford Fusion for North America, but the UK and Europe are going to have to wait until at least the end of 2014 – when we get the new Mondeo - before the new engine is on offer. The 1.5 litre EcoBoost offers improved economy and emissions compared to the 1.6 litre currently available - with similar power, performance and torque compared – but one of the main reasons for offering it is that many countries offer tax breaks for engines under 1.5 litres. The new engine will be built by Ford In Romania initially (although it will get churned out elsewhere too in due course) and offers turbocharging, direct fuel injection and variable valve timing.
Bahrain F1 win for Button & Brawn GP
Sun, 26 Apr 2009Button wins for Brawn GP in Bahrain - the third win of the F1 season for Button/Brawn GP [ad#ad-1] It looked after practice and qualifying that Brawn’s measure had been acquired; at least by Toyota and Red Bull. After all, the best Brawn could manage was fourth on the grid with Button, and a front row lock-out by Toyota, and Vettel’s third on the grid, seemed to strike a note of reality for this years F1 season. Those who condemned Brawn’s early success this year called it luck.
