Walkie-talkie 2-way Radio Archer Space Patrol on 2040-parts.com
Ypsilanti, Michigan, US
Walkie-Talkie 2-Way Radio Archer Space Patrol. Archer = Radio Shack. The box still has the original $8.95 price tag on it! My brother and I played with these very little.
These walkie-talkie's are in excellent shape. The paint and finish of the morse code on the front is in excellent condition with no visible wear. They both work, as much as they did when they where new which is to say they still produce lots of static and so many other noises that you have to listen closely to hear the voice and / or "Morse code" over the hand set. Look, these are transistor toys from the 70's and they are awesome if you are looking for a collection piece. That's just the way these transistor toys of that era worked. The battery compartments are both clean - we always removed the batteries when storing. The antenna on both units fully extend - they have never been bent or damaged.
The Boxes are in good / fair condition. One has some masking tape on it and a local area that is missing the outer layer of the box / packaging that you can see in the one picture. The other is clean with minimal wear at the edges. Both have their original instructions and the original packaging foam insert.
I'm also selling a Midland set of walkie talkies. If you'd like more pictures or some specific information, please just ask!

Metrocab Range Extender London Taxi looks a real contender (video)
Thu, 16 Jan 2014Metrocab Range Extender London Taxi We’ve had lots of new competition for the traditional London Black Cab cropping up recently, with the Nissan NV200 Taxi and the Mercedes Vito Taxi heading the assault on the traditional black taxi market. Now we’re getting the Metrocab Range Extender Electric from Frazer Nash throwing its hat in to the ring as a contender for the market, and it does look to be a real contender. Looking familiar with styling that looks like a properly updated take on the traditional TX4 Black Cab, the Metrocab has been developed by Frazer Nash and Ecotive to be fully compliant with all the requirements of the London Public Carriage Office and offers a much more appealing option for cabbies and fares alike.
