Can be used for racing applications as long as the motor temperature and current are carefully monitored. Motor has built-in thermal switch to easily indicate overheating. Recommended maximum RPM is 4500, although we have pushed them much higher than this. This Warp 11 can produce over 400 ft/lbs of torque starting at zero RPM -- this kind of power rivals turbocharged gas and even diesel engines. At 226 pounds, this motor weighs about as much as a 4-cylinder engine, yet can outrun almost every V8 engine ever made! Nissan Leaf gets lower base price
Mon, 14 Jan 2013Nissan Motor Co. will cut the base price of the slow-selling Leaf electric car by 18 percent, or $6,400, the automaker said Monday. Nissan will sell a 2013 base Leaf S for $28,800, down from $35,200 on the 2012 base model.

Mitsubishi bringing i MiEV Sport Air concept to Geneva
Mon, 26 Jan 2009Mitsubishi will show another iteration of its sporty micro-size electric car with the debut of the i MiEV Sport Air concept at the Geneva motor show in March. Building on the i MiEV Sport, which we first saw at the Tokyo motor show in 2007, Mitsubishi adds a clear removable roof and slight alterations to the front fascia. A lithium-ion battery powers three magnetic synchronous motors--one in each front wheel and one to drive both rear wheels--with an all-wheel control system managing stability and traction control, and ABS for optimal stability and performance.
