Subaru Impreza WRX STi Type UK

Wed, 05 Dec 2007

By Ben Pulman Motor Shows 05 December 2007 10:30 Come on, I’ve seen the new Impreza before… You have, but not this one. Subaru chose the Bologna Motor Show for the debut of the UK-spec WRX STi, which unlike the 2.0-litre Japanese model we’ve driven, uses a 2.5-litre engine. It’s still a flat-four ‘boxer’, but emission regulations, and some premium pride, mean the larger capacity engine continues in the UK.

Mercedes SLS AMG GT Final Edition revealed ahead of debut at Los Angeles & Tokyo

Fri, 15 Nov 2013

The Mercedes SLS AMG GT Final Edition (pictured) signals the end of the SLS It’s more than four years since the Mercedes SLS Gullwing was revealed at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show as the Mercedes replacement for the Mercedes McLaren SLR. And now the SLS is almost at the end of its shelf life. That means the opportunity for a run-out model to cap the SLS range, so Mercedes is launching the Mercedes SLS AMG GT Final Edition – a limited run of 350 cars as a Gullwing or Roadster – which will debut at both the Los Angeles and Tokyo Motor Shows next month.

Mercedes E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID – Africa to Goodwood on a single tank of fuel

Sun, 29 Jun 2014

The Mercedes E300 Hybrid – Africa to Goodwood on a tank of fuel It might cost more to buy a hybrid car than a regular ICE car, but if you do a lot of miles the fuel savings can be impressive and, with many modern cars, you can choose to use the extra electric motor for more performance when parsimony isn’t at the top of your agenda. A good example of a car that offers plenty of luxuries, decent performance and the ability to eke out a gallon of fuel further than you’d ever have thought possible is the latest Mercedes E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID. With a 201 bhp diesel engine and a 27 bhp electric motor, the Mercedes hybrid can get to 62 mph in 7.5 seconds, reach 155 mph and offers leather trim, COMAND, Climate and all the little luxuries that make time behind the wheel more bearable.
