Wcfb Dual Quad *clones 270 Hp on 2040-parts.com
Chesterfield, New Jersey, United States
Up for auction is a set of dual quads from a 1956-57 Plymouth Fury. They have been re-built and set up to be run as a 270 HP Chevy.
The only differences between these and the Chevy are: these have 1"venturi and the throttle arms are different. Some throttle linkage provided with unit. The manifold is a 1957 #3739653 it does have some corrosion on the back of the manifold ( see picture 12). The water neck area is in good shape, it cant be seen well in the picture due to the shadow. There is also an old weld repair on the front left, but no porting . It is stock.. Also comes with its original oil fill tube. The air cleaners are used K&N filters #A057A12. These obviously will not fit on a Corvette but are good for a full size 56-57 Chevy and are a lot cheaper that the Bat-wing air cleaner. Please ask any questions before bidding. *609-298-1938 Shipping will be $65.00 via UPS ground insured to the Continental US. As always local pick up welcome! Free delivery to June Carlisle. Mercedes touts future safety with research vehicle
Tue, 07 Jul 2009In 1980, when several automakers began to use airbags, there were people who thought that cars couldn't possibly get any safer. Karl-Heinz Baumann, a safety researcher at Mercedes-Benz AG in Stuttgart, was not one of them. "We said, 'No, it cannot be all,' and we kept doing more research." The results of that research are presented on the company's most recent Experimental Safety Vehicle (ESV), on display now in the Mercedes Museum in Stuttgart.
Jaguar XJ facelift (2007) first news and photos
Wed, 28 Feb 2007By Jack Carfrae First Official Pictures 28 February 2007 11:29 2008 Jaguar XJ: the lowdown Jaguar is sprucing up its XJ luxury saloon at Geneva next week to keep it fresh until a radical new model arrives in 2009 – and these pictures show the big cat for the first time. There are numerous subtle changes to Jaguar’s flagship saloon, most of which are well within the ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ category, but they add a little more polish to the big saloon, which has always suffered criticism for its conservative design. Most of the changes involve the bumpers, which have been given a more distinguished, deep and chunky look, and a more prominent growler on the revised grille.
