Parallel rulers are used to plot direction on nautical charts. Two straightedges are hinged so that they maintain the same angle. By alternating the moving edge, and securely holding down the nonmoving edge, you can move the rulers about the chart while still maintaining the same angle. |

Jaguar confirms F-type engines, XJ Ultimate at Beijing
Mon, 23 Apr 2012Jaguar used the 2012 Beijing motor show to announce a raft of new engines - including details of the V6 which will power the F-type and news that a four-cylinder, Ford Ecoboost related petrol engine will be fitted to the XJ. It's downsizing to the maximum. It also unveiled the £123,000 XJ Ultimate, the highest spec yet seen on its aluminium luxury car - replete with champagne cooler, a pair of massaging back seats and iPads for the rear passengers.
U.A.S Graz-BMW partnership project

Porsche recalls Carrera, Carrera 4 for tailpipe fix
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Porsche announced last week that it will recall more than 2,200 Carrera and Carrera 4 911s because internal testing indicated the tailpipe could crack and detach from the rear muffler on vehicles with more than 25,000 miles. Affected vehicles include 2012 and 2013 models built between March 7, 2012 and Nov. 12, 2012.
