Canada urged to adopt European car safety standards

CANADA has been urged to adopt European standards for new vehicle safety by the president of Mercedes-Benz Canada. Tim Reuss told reporters that if EU rules, which apply to all cars built by European industrial powerhouses like Mercedes and the Volkswagen Group, were in place Canada would already have new, more efficient, safer cars. At present Mercedes cannot import the A-Class because of the expense associated with modifying it to conform to Canadian safety requirements, and Mr Reuss argues that the current approach lacks common sense.

The facelifted Renault Clio for 2009 - Due to launch at the Geneva Motor Show in March As with most car makers, Renault is going for the ‘Family’ look, and has grafted a new nose on the Clio to make it look like its big brother, the Megane. So it gets a new front end with new headlights, slitty grill and an air intake at the bottom. More Kit For Suzuki’s Popular Swift Hatch

SUZUKI has unveiled a number of detailed updates for its popular Swift hatchback model. The Japanese car maker is focusing on adding more kit and colour choices. Buyers of the SZ2 variant and upwards gain front fog lamps and LED daytime running lights, while the top specification SZ4 model now adds a navigation system with DAB radio as standard.
