This is the REAL DEAL! Not the Modern version currently being sold by WEIAND thru any one of the numerous "discount" houses through out the USA. Probably the easiest way to tell is by the idler pulley mounting. The modern current production uses a thru fastener (bolt-nut) combo to retain the idler pulley to the idler arm. This Idler pulley is retained by a nut as well but rather than a hardware store bolt and washers this idler has a special spud or shaft that is drilled for a grease fitting in the outer end and has a hole made into the inner side that holds the shaft from spinning when tightening the nut. An Allen wrench or pin always seems to work best (for me anyway) to hold for tightening. Next the idler arm itself was going to be sent out to be polished when a quick spray of 'rattle can' silver didn't quite cut it. The previous owner decided after receiving a quote for the work he tried to save the $$$$ and tried to do it himself. One Quick pass on a belt sander and soon that too was abandoned. This listing includes the Idler Arm with Pulley as well as a single 3 inch wide offset and flanged 37 tooth drive pulley.  I have not looked at what the Modern Reproduced versions bring $$$ wise but I think they could be a little costly and RePro Besides! These pieces listed here are the Real/Genuine/Original versions. I think I have a couple fasteners/stepped washers/nuts that are needed that I'll add to these items as well.  Prefer to Have a Complete Early Version that is fully polished ?? Toyota’s production hydrogen car will be the Toyota Mirai

It looks like this is the Toyota Mirai Toyota are planning to join what looks set to be a bit of a rush by car makers to introduce mainstream hydrogen fuel cell cars with a production version of the Toyota FCV Concept. That production FCV was from Toyota revealed in June, but it didn’t have a name. But it seems, at least according to a report from Bloomberg, that it will be the Toyota Mirai.

Lexus presented the LFA at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show last week, the culmination of four years and two show cars. The new front-mid engined supercar is skinned in carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), which, aside from being both lightweight and strong, also enabled greater freedom to create shapes, curves and edges. Seen in the flesh, however, the white bodycolor did the LFA few favors, though this choice may have more to do with slighting Acura - the last NSX, the Type-R, was also white with a red and black interior.

Mercedes-Benz launches an iPad app that tours the redesigned CLS

Mercedes-Benz USA has released an iPad app for the redesigned 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS that allows users to explore the car's interior and exterior and customize a vehicle. The app was created as a tool for dealership sales associates but it's open for consumers to use. It is the first installment in a series of 2012-model-year product apps available free through the Apple Store.
