We imagine there were really two options for naming Aston Martin's new personalization program: Q, or something boring like Amalgamated Personalisation & Colour Programme, complete with British spellings that will vex most spell-checking software and render it unsearchable in Google. Fortunately, Aston Martin has wisely decided to adopt the same name as the Quartermaster in Ian Fleming's "James Bond" novels -- a pure coincidence, we're told. Lucky owners of these customized machines will be able to tell their friends that it was Q who added a few special touches to their cars.

RAC to carry universal spare wheel

The RAC believes call outs to cars with punctures but no spare wheel will reach 250,000 a year by 2015, so has decided to roll out its own universal spare wheel as a hassle-reducing solution. The universal spare wheel, which has already been successfully trialled, should become standard equipment for all RAC breakdown patrols by early February 2014. Infiniti JX Concept Tease - now it's the kinky c-pillar Last week we finally relented and decided we needed to cover the tease ahead of the launch at Pebble Beach of the Infiniti JX Crossover. So far we’ve had a blurry motion image which gave us a familiar Crossover/SUV shape, a glimpse of the front from low-down on the front nearside three-quarters, and a shot of the tail light with a glimpse up the side of the JX. We’re now treated to a photo looking down on the JX from the nearside rear three-quarters.
