Weston 750 Tach Generator W/ 961 Meter As 5th Wheel Speed Calibration on 2040-parts.com
South Lyon, Michigan, United States
Weston Fifth Wheel for Testing / Calibration of Speedometer, Distance, etc. Unit was used at Chrysler Engineering then at Specialty Vehicles Inc. until the past year. Specialty Vehicles used it for testing Saleen manufactured performance cars. Sensor is from the 1960's but they have not changed since then. This sensor was tested and is WORKING. It comes with quite a few brackets for attaching to back bumpers, chassis, etc. Almost always have to make an intermediate bracket. Below picture of one of these from today. They perform the same way. Technology has not changed. The B/W photo in the above is of the exact Weston unit that I am selling from the late 60's. These use a spring on the bracket to keep a down force applied to the wheel to maintain best contact with the ground. The Fifth Wheel will come packed in the original wooden crate. It will ship freight due to size weight. approx 125 # and 17" x 30" x 47" also in photos. If you are only interested in the instrumentation, I can remove it and ship it without the wheel / bracket for MUCH CHEAPER SHIPPING. Applications • Speed Measurement • Acceleration Tests • Brake Tests • Stopping Distance Tests • Tire Tests • Vehicle Development This will ship through Fastenal: call them for a quote using the dimensions / weight I have listed above. I can drop off at my local Fastenal. They will ship it to the nearest one to you. Local pickup is FREE. |

Porsche Macan to get a bolder look before launch
Tue, 04 Dec 2012The Porsche Macan – the baby Cayenne – is to get a new, bold look before it launches in 2014, to make it better able to compete against the Range Rover Evoque. The Porsche Macan, Porsche’s baby Cayenne based on the underpinnings of the Audi Q5, is a big deal for Porsche. Having discovered that an SUV could revive their fortunes after they launched the Cayenne a decade ago, the smaller, lower-priced Macan should give both Porsche’s sales and profits a big boost.
