Weston Fifth Wheel for Testing / Calibration of Speedometer, Distance, etc. Unit was used at Chrysler Engineering then at Specialty Vehicles Inc. until the past year. Specialty Vehicles used it for testing Saleen manufactured performance cars. Sensor is from the 1960's but they have not changed since then. This sensor was tested and is WORKING. It comes with quite a few brackets for attaching to back bumpers, chassis, etc. Almost always have to make an intermediate bracket. Below picture of one of these from today. They perform the same way. Technology has not changed. The B/W photo in the above is of the exact Weston unit that I am selling from the late 60's. These use a spring on the bracket to keep a down force applied to the wheel to maintain best contact with the ground. The Fifth Wheel will come packed in the original wooden crate. It will ship freight due to size weight. approx 125 # and 17" x 30" x 47" also in photos. If you are only interested in the instrumentation, I can remove it and ship it without the wheel / bracket for MUCH CHEAPER SHIPPING. Bad British drivers 'in denial'
Mon, 18 Nov 2013A NEW study has uncovered the extent to which British drivers will stubbornly refuse to admit being wrong or behaving badly on the road. Almost all (98.7%) UK motorists believe they are safe drivers, but only 22.6% of those who had an accident admitted being at fault, which seems to display a degree of denial in British drivers when it comes to behaving badly on the roads. Carrot Insurance, which specialises in providing telematics-based policies to 17-24-year-olds, carried out the survey ahead of this week’s National Road Safety Week campaign and discovered several surprises.
Hong-ik University Design Degree Show 2004
Tue, 30 May 2006Graduating students from the Transportation Design course at Korea's Hong-ik University presented their work in the 2004 Degree Show entitled 'Design Concert', held December 7-13 in the International Design School for Advanced Studies (IDAS) in Seoul. The works shown are based on a wide range of vehicle concepts and brands. The' Professional day', which is an annual event, was also hosted on the exhibiition opening evening with graduating students, professors and professional designers from the automotive industry.
Faurecia Pin-spiration calls for premium pinboards

Tier supplier Faurecia is using online sharing community Pinterest to host a new competition to create a pinboard named ‘Faurecia Pin-spiration' – categorized under ‘Cars and Motorcycles' – and filled with things that reflect the meaning of ‘premium’ that could also be used in automotive design.
