Peugeot 208 takes on Wacky Races in a new advert
Sat, 01 Jun 2013The Peugeot 208 takes on wacky races in a new advert If you’re of a certain age, you’ll remember Wacky Races. In particular, if you’re anything like those in the office here who are old enough, Penelope Pitstop and Dick Dastardly and Muttley. Interestingly, Peugeot in Brazil has decided to bring what looks like the entire Wacky Races mob to life in a new advert to promote the Peugeot 208.
Gordon Murray Design T25 (2010) first official pictures
Mon, 28 Jun 2010This is Gordon Murray's new city car, the T25. Although previously scooped by CAR as long as two years ago, these are the first official pictures of the Gordon Murray Design T25 that its makers claim will revolutionise car design, manufacturing and even the way we drive. He did indeed design the seminal McLaren F1 and still hopes to build another one, but in the meantime the T25 is designed for the more humble motorist. Gordon Murray Design is keen to promote itself as a leader in downsizing, both in terms of the physical footprint of the car and engine size.
Honda Civic (2011) at Frankfurt motor show
Mon, 12 Sep 2011This is the ninth generation of Honda’s small car star, which has gestated from trend setting (Civic Mk1 of 1972) to stylistically dull if technically advanced (most) to sci-fi-style wacko but technically mainstream (Civic Mk8). New Civics, over the years, have been about as easy to forecast as David Beckham’s next hairstyle as Honda engineers – never the most predictable bunch – veer from brave to bashful. The new Civic, unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show, is eye-catching although less off-centre than generation eight, and is closed basely mechanically on its predecessor.
