The Nissan LEAF may be the best-selling electric car in the world, but it’s still an insignificant speck on the car sales landscape. But Nissan hope sales of electric cars will get a boost with the more ‘affordable’ Renault Zoe EV.

The elegant, streamlined 1928 Rolls-Royce Phantom I ‘Jarvis Torpedo’, chassis number 17EX, boasts a rich history. One of only three experimental chassis produced by Rolls-Royce at the time, 17EX was completed and sold new to Maharaja Hari Sigh Bahadur, ruler of the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir, who kept the car until 1932.

Thu, 08 Mar 2012The winners of the 2011 Car Design of the Year awards, as voted for by the Car Design News readership, were unveiled on the evening of the first Geneva motor show press day at the annual Car Design Night at La Sip nightclub in the Swiss capital. The event was one of the busiest in recent memory, with over 400 designers in attendance. The winners of the annual Car Design of the Year Awards were presented by Car Design News' Editor, Owen Ready.
