Are Mercedes planning a new SL 65 AMG (old model pictured) It looks like Mercedes-Benz has decided that the world still needs a V12 SL and are planning to reveal the 2012 Mercedes SL65 AMG at next month’s New York Auto Show. As you can’t have failed to notice, with a few exceptions from Italy, big cylinder engines are on the way out in favour of more efficient, and more frugal, forced induction engines with fewer cylinders. But it’s starting to look like Mercedes may be bucking the trend with slightly surprising plans to take a V12 version of the new SL to the New York Auto Show next month – the Mercedes SL 65 AMG.

New 2014 MINI – Details revealed ahead of debut in November As well as new engines, the new MINI will get new transmissions too with the manual option getting a gear sensor to match engine speed when changing gear and the auto ‘box coming with stop-start and input from the SatNav to make sure the car’s in the right gear for the road and terrain. Lamborghini Aventador deliveries may be delayed

Lamborghini's factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy, survived the recent earthquakes in the region undamaged. Production at the factory has resumed but deliveries of Lamborghini's 691-hp Aventador may be delayed because of supplier troubles. The initial sequence of earthquakes struck the Modena province of northern Italy on May 20 and was followed by another series of tremors on May 29.
