Bentley Brooklands - The last of the 'Real' Bentleys Volkswagen’s takeover of Bentley has, certainly in sales and production terms, been a big success. Until the recent economic mire hit, the sales of Bentleys were at a previously unimagined level. In fact it got to the point where Bentleys no longer seemed ‘Special’, so ubiquitous had the sight of a Bentley Continental become on our roads.

But when he called to say he was pouring over Porsche’s Panamera 425 metres up in the air, we started to think that maybe the jetlag was getting to him. Apparently not – on the evening before the opening of the Shanghai show, a select group of the world’s automotive media was invited to a preview of the Panamera on the 94th floor of the Shanghai World Financial Centre.

Eterniti Hemera - the first image You may remember that we ran a story a few weeks ago about a mysterious ‘new’ luxury SUV from a new car company – the Eterniti Hemera. Well, they’re back with a bit more of a drip-feed of information as the debut of their first car – which they dub “… the world’s first Super-SUV” – grows closer. We’d speculated that Eterniti wasn’t a car maker but was instead an after-market customiser; simply taking an existing car and making it ‘special’.
