Michael Schumacher is the Stig! The Update We received umpteen emails after we ran a story last week about Top Gear revealing the identity of the Stig as Michael Schumacher in the opening episode of the new series. It is astonishing how much people love the show (but we include ourselves in that).

Subaru FT-86 – Turbo and 4WD

Rendered speculation on the Subaru FT-86 Toyota brought the FT-86 – a 2 door coupe concept that may well see the return of the Celica name – to the Tokyo Motor Show this month. Designed to be an affordable coupe – and designed in collaboration with Subaru – it looks a promising new car. But we’ve seen no real detail on the other part of the equation – the Subaru FT-86 (know internally as the 216A).

We already knew that the new Jaguar F-Type would get its production debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, but now it’s official. Jaguar has mastered the ‘launch’ of a new car in the digital age, with endless teaser photos and videos, trickles of information, official ‘Spy’ photos and tempting new little revelations at appropriate intervals. And that process has been exactly the path the arrival of the new Jaguar F-Type has followed, from the F-Type Coupe as the C-X16 Concept through to the camouflaged F-Type Roadsters we’ve seen on film, on video and in the flesh.
