This is my new master kit to fix the no spray or late spray or partial spray on the 740-940 series. This should fix it for years.

New right and left Nozzles

You get a new set of left and right nozzles. You can bend the little tubes to get them to squirt where you want them.

Volvo Windshield Washer In Line T One-Way Valve

This one-way valve helps prevent the washer fluid from draining back into the tank and keeps the fluid close to the spray jets to prevent your wipers wiping before the fluid gets there. I am not sure it helps dry wipe all that well. But if it does fail the problem is no fluid getting to the wipers.

It also directs the fluid to both of the nozzles. This part fails and two things might happen. When the diaphragm inside decides to stick, either you get no fluid or the little red cap blows off and the fluid goes onto the engine instead of the windshield. This valve tends to plug up and the nozzles plug up because there is junk in the washer fluid.

It is my opinion that dry wipe is caused mostly by plugged or semi plugged nozzles.
The nozzles are plugging because of junk in our washer reservoirs. We get the junk because of evaporation of the water in the fluid and the fluid we buy is dirty and sometimes separates and leaves junks and sludge in the reservoir.

The new Volvo V40 has been given a 5 Star rating by Euro NCAP, in the process getting the best result ever recorded. If a Volvo can’t get a 5 Star rating in the Euro NCAP tests then Volvo’s USP is in trouble. So the news that the new V40 got a 5 Star rating in the latest round of tests comes as no surprise.

A problem with the power-steering system is prompting General Motors to recall 1.3 million small cars. There have been reports of 14 crashes and one injury related to the steering problem, GM said on Tuesday. The recall covers 2005-10 Chevrolet Cobalts and 2007-10 Pontiac G5s sold in the United States.
