We've had a good chance to pore all over a prototype i Pedelec and can see what all the fuss is about. BMW is the sole provider of vehicles to London 2012 and will test a couple of hundred Pedelecs with athletes and organisers at the games.

Sun, 18 Aug 2013A frugal new 1.0-litre SIDI three-cylinder turbo petrol engine will go on sale in the Vauxhall Adam city car in 2014, following its debut at next month’s 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new low-emissions unit – a rival to Ford’s 1.0 Ecoboost engine in the Fiesta and Focus – will deliver “impressive fuel economy and CO2 emissions significantly lower than 100g/km”, according to Vauxhall. Even before the Toyota GT 86 hit the roads we were expecting a convertible version to be not far behind. In fact, Toyota’s chief engineer, Tetsuya Tada, confirmed last month that the GT86 / Subaru BRZ / Scion FR-S was conceived as a convertible and that Toyota are working on a production version.
