THE  AMERICAN  INTERNATIONAL  STANDARD  car stereo wiring harness plugs into your Factory wiring for the installation of an aftermarket radio. This harness can also be used in conjunction with a reverse harness to add XM, Sirius, or a FM Modulated accessory without cutting factory wiring. This harness is EIA color coded the same as most aftermarket radios.

Description

When replacing your factory radio with an after-market car stereo, a wire harness is a must for a quick installation. It eliminates cutting your OE radio plug helping to maintain your cars value. After connecting it, your install is simple as the wires will color-match and easily connect to the after-market stereo. Without a wiring harness you will have to cut the factory harness and then test each wire to connect to your radio.

In addition, because you do not have to cut your OE radio plug off, using an wiring harness allows you to reinstall your factory receiver at a later time. A great example is if you sold your car, but wanted to keep your after-market radio and re-install your factory stereo receiver

GM weighs moving next GMC Sierra upscale

Mon, 23 Jan 2012

General Motors will do more to differentiate the GMC Sierra from the Chevrolet Silverado when redesigned versions of the pickups go on sale in the first half of 2013. Sierra models may get a longer list of standard equipment and a higher sticker price than comparable Silverados, Mark Reuss, GM president of North America, said in an interview at the Detroit auto show. A similar strategy has proved successful in differentiating GMC's Terrain and Yukon models from Chevrolet's Equinox, Tahoe and Suburban.

The 500-hp club: The room is getting crowded

Mon, 02 Apr 2012

At a time when fuel economy counts for just about everything, there's still a horsepower war raging in the United States. The number of fire-breathing wedge-shaped supercars and hot sedans and coupes that can pump out 500 hp or better has nearly doubled in the past five years to more than 70. A decade ago there were just two members of the 500 hp club in the United States: the Ferrari 575M and Lamborghini Murcielago.
