Avis buys Zipcar and grows car-sharing capabilities internationally

Zipcar, a car-sharing company that specializes in renting cars by the hour or day, announced Wednesday it will be acquired by Avis Budget for $491 million, or $12.25 a share. It's the PSA-Jaguar Land Rover developed engine, previously available as a 2.7.The new 3.0 HDI will be fitted to the C5 and C6 in late summer 2009, replacing the 2.7.
