Stig test drives motorway pub
Wed, 22 Jan 2014The BBC has released a video of the Stig test driving Britain’s first motorway pub, presumably as a way of promoting its new series of Top Gear. The video shows the Stig pull up at Beaconsfield services in a Vauxhall Insignia, before entering the Hope and Champion pub and posing for photos, and then ordering a pint of beer. Design boss Trevor Creed heralded it as 'a new, more emotional Chrysler.' Although the same size as the mean-'n'-moody 300C saloon, the Nassau is designed to look smaller, with more delicate surface treatments, a subtler new eggcrate grille and a slimmer, more European hatchback rear end. The Nassau portrays more compact dimensions, despite rolling on huge 10-spoke, 22in alloy wheels.
Ford Focus given street art makeover
Wed, 24 Aug 2011A Ford Focus was transformed into a work of art yesterday by six street artists in Glasgow city center as part of the Ford UK Centenary Tour. Outside the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, the six artists worked out of a public studio to use their talents to liven up the bodywork of a new Focus. The artists – Lyken, FiST, Syrkus, Rue 5, Death Rattles and Al White – are all from Glasgow's Independent Recoat Gallery, and spent six hours on their colorful designs.
