    2011 / 2012 Kia Rio With the inexorable move by Hyundai and Kia to higher quality, Euro-centric cars the Kia Rio is overdue to be Euro-fied. After all, it’s two years since the Hyundai Getz got brought in to the 21st century by morphing in to the i20. So after a tease for the new Kia Rio last month, the bland (albeit it cheap) Kia Rio makes way for the Kia version of the i20 – the 2012 Kia Rio – which will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in a couple of weeks, with the five door Kia going on sale in September and the three door on sale in early 2012.

    Ford Focus ST 2012 Well, we managed to get the colour pretty much spot on when we reported that Ford where taking the new Focus ST to the Paris Motor Show this year. Mind you, an orange ST is not a huge surprise. And, if you care, it’s called ‘Screaming Orange’.

    Carmel kicks off concours craziness

    Consider the Monterey car week begun! The Carmel-by-the-Sea Concours-on-the-Avenue launched with its best-ever crowd and what many were calling the best-ever show for the free-to-the-public event held every Tuesday before the Pebble Beach Concours on Ocean Avenue in Carmel. Eighteen blocks total were shut to traffic and jammed with collector cars, everything from classic 911s celebrating that car's 50th anniversary to Ferraris, Trans Am racers and a whole block of Shelby Cobras.
