Condition:Used Brand:George W. Borg Corp

Here is an outstanding working 6 volt clock for the 1949 and 50 Buick Super and Roadmaster and the 1950 Special models.  Overall condition is excellent.  The chrome bezel, face, lens and set knob are all perfect.

It was manufactured by the George W. Borg Company for GM and is date stamped "MAR 49".

The clock has been cleaned, adjusted and lubricated and keeps perfect time.   It runs equally  well on 6 or 12V. (no need for a dropping resistor on these Borgs)

The size of the panel opening would be approx. 3-3/4" dia.

Also, if you need the bulb and socket assembly for backlighting, I can provide one with a bulb for $4.00.   I make these separate from the clock since most people already have them in their car and don't want more laying around.  Let me know immediately after the end of the auction if you want this and please do not pay until I send you a revised invoice.  Also please specify voltage so I can send you the correct bulb.

You won't find a nicer clock for your vintage Buick at any price !

I will try to answer any questions you might have.

I ship worldwide, buyer pays actual USPS shipping cost.  Good luck bidding....

Lexus LFA and IS-F on track at Bruntingthorpe

Lexus LFA and IS-F joust on track at Buntingthorpe Just a couple of weeks ago we reported that the first Lexus LFA in the UK had put in an appearance at Goodwood to delight the Supercar Sunday Breakfast Club. The visit to Goodwood made it clear that Lexus were treating the LFA as a serious performance car, and not just a rich man’s toy (although it is a rich man’s toy), so we wondered where Lexus UK would go next with their very own LFA. Would they trot it up to Lexus Park Lane and put it on show for the temptation of the passing wealthy, or would they plough on with putting the LFA in front of real (if wealthy) petrolheads?

Radical SR8LM Nurburgring Record

Radical SR8LM being prepared for its record-breaking Nurburgring lap. Yesterday we reported on the Nurburgring record claimed by Gumpert for the Apollo S, an extremely impressive 7:11.5. But we did mention – or rather said we’d better not mention – Radical’s time of 6:55 set a few years ago.

Smart designs eBike

Tue, 23 Aug 2011

Smart has joined its fellow car manufacturers in designing a bicycle and is putting it into series production. The main components of the eBike such as the frame, battery housing, handlebars, lights and mudguards have been designed and developed specifically for Smart. The two-color concept is, so it's makers claim, recognizable as classic Smart, with the plastic battery housing forming a contrast to the aluminum frame.
