Rare Ford clock!!!! ................

Here is an outstanding working 6 volt clock for the 1949 and 50 Ford models.  Overall condition is excellent.  The chrome bezel, face, lens and set knob are all perfect.

This clock is special in that it has provision for two backlight bulbs.  This solves the problem of the clock backlighting not being bright enough which can sometimes be a complaint with this vintage of Ford clocks..

It was manufactured by the George W. Borg Company for Ford.

The clock has been cleaned, adjusted and lubricated and keeps perfect time.   It runs equally  well on 6 or 12V. (no need for a step down resistor on these Borgs)

The size of the panel opening would be approx. 2-7/8" dia.

Also, if you need the two bulb and socket assemblies for backlighting, I can provide them with a bulb for $4.00 each.  I make these separate from the clock since most people already have them in their car and don't want more laying around.  Let me know immediately after the end of the auction if you want this and please specify voltage.

You won't find a nicer clock for your vintage Ford at any price !

I will try to answer any questions you might have.

I ship worldwide, buyer pays actual USPS shipping cost.  Good luck bidding....

Pagani Huayra Roadster still 2 years away

Sun, 27 Apr 2014

The Pagani Huayra Roadster is still 2 years away (Coupe pictured) The Pagani Huayra arrived three years ago as Pagani’s replacement for the Zonda (in fact, is was three years ago in January we exclusively revealed the first ever Huayra photo), and despite assurances from Pagani that a Huayra Roadster would arrive by 2014 there’s still no sign of it. We did have a little moment of anticipation that the Huayra Roadster was on its way when Pagani teased something new for Geneva 2013, but that turned out to be nothing more than a (posh) new set of speakers for the Huayra Coupe. In fact, the Sonus Faber Sound System for the Huayra Roadster is about the only Pagani news on anything new we’ve had in the three years since the Huayra arrived – although there have been plenty of problems for the Huayra along the way.

Tue, 14 Jun 2011

Reports in Europe say that BMW is planning a shake-up in the naming strategy for its smaller coupes and convertibles, as well as planning to shift its 1-series cars onto a front-drive platform. The nameplate shake-up will have coupe and convertible variants of the 1-series become the 2-series, while coupe and convertible variants of the 3-series will become the 4-series. The changeover is expected to start in 2013, according to a report on the Web site of Car magazine.
