Daimler & BYD reveal the Denza EV Concept: Beijing 2012

Denza EV Concept The partnership between Daimler and BYD in China has revealed its first fruit – the Denza EV Concept - at the Beijing Motor Show. It’s just a few weeks since we learned that Daimler and BYD had come up with a name for their joint venture in China to produce New Energy Vehicles (basically EVs). Denza – or Tengshi, in Chinese – seeks to take Daimler’s expertise in car making (and they do claim more than any other car maker on the planet) and mate it with BYD’s undoubted expertise in electric cars to build a car company that only produces new energy vehicles.

More Teslas make electric migration

Last week, the father-daughter team of John and Jill Glenney completed the first cross-country drive in a Tesla using the company's new network of Superchargers to refuel. Yesterday, a pair of Tesla Model S sedans driven by a rotating squadron of 15 company employees set what they hope will be an electric record for cross-country travel. Fiat 500X teaser video ahead of 2014 Paris motor show

Fiat has issued this Youtube video of its new 500X crossover, which is destined to launch the Italian brand into the compact SUV market dominated by the Nissan Juke. Although an annoyingly restricted view of the 500X, it is possible to make out the silhouette and outline of the baby crossover, which goes on sale in the UK in time for the new 15-reg launch in March 2015.
