1940s era RCA AVA-126 power supply for AVT series transmitters. these power supply units were mounted on the floorboard in front of the pilots seat in the Aeronca L-3, Piper L-4 and Taylorcraft L-2. The insides of the unit have been removed to save weight and now weighs around three lbs.


Overall dimensions are  6.5 inches tall, 6.5 inches long, and 5 inches wide. Very nice unit with great patina.

Visitors to the Auburn Spring Collector Car Auction will get a treat in May when Reggie Jackson, Major League Baseball Hall of Famer; Wayne Carini, host of HD Theater's Chasing Classic Cars, and concept-car expert Joe Bortz take part in a panel discussion about the world of the collector car. The panel discussion will take place at the Auction Park Arena in Auburn, Ind., on May 14 at 9 a.m. before the auction starts.

GM weighs moving next GMC Sierra upscale

General Motors will do more to differentiate the GMC Sierra from the Chevrolet Silverado when redesigned versions of the pickups go on sale in the first half of 2013. Sierra models may get a longer list of standard equipment and a higher sticker price than comparable Silverados, Mark Reuss, GM president of North America, said in an interview at the Detroit auto show. A similar strategy has proved successful in differentiating GMC's Terrain and Yukon models from Chevrolet's Equinox, Tahoe and Suburban.
