Toyota announces prices of the Prius V and Prius Plug-in hybrid
Fri, 16 Sep 2011Toyota announced pricing of the new Prius V and Prius Plug-in on Friday. The new compact V wagon will carry an MSRP of $27,160, while the plug-in hybrid stickers at $32,760. Both include $760 in destination and handling, but only the plug-in is expected to qualify for the $2,500 government tax credit.
Subaru enjoys best-ever sales month in the US

And it's not the relatively new Subaru BRZ that's leading the pack -- Subaru sold 15 times more Foresters than BRZs during the month of August. That's right, the summer days of sliding around town in a sporty coupe are coming to a close, and we think the answer for the ridiculously high Forester sales lies in a quote anyone with a television should be familiar with by now: winter is coming.
Government driving down electric avenue
Mon, 21 Jul 2014THE GOVERNMENT is to lead by example by buying more than 150 electric and plug-in hybrid cars for its fleets. All fleet managers will have funding allocated with a view to buying ultra-low-emission vehicles (ULEVs) to replace older vehicles as part of the their normal working life cycle. According to Westminster sources, a long-term plan is in place to make such cars and vans entirely commonplace.
