Up for auction is an “almost” new Xantrex PROsine 1800/12 Sine Wave Inverter (part # 806-1802). This particular inverter takes your 12 volt DC source and provides 1800 watts of sine wave AC power through a hardwired terminal strip (w/ optional 15A transfer relay switch) for permanent installation into an electrical system.

These inverters list for over $1400.00 when new. Our “No Reserve” starting price is a steal!!

This inverter was purchased for a developmental vehicle project. It was mounted in a mock-up installation, but removed when the project designers decided to go with a different set-up. It was never used. Basically new!

This inverter will be sold in original factory box, and comes with owner’s manual.

Generic information below pulled from manufacturer’s documentation:

Provides 1000 and 1800 watts of sine wave AC power from a DC source

Offering superior quality true sine wave output, the PROsine 1000 and 1800 stand-alone inverters are

ideally suited for electrical systems that already have a quality multistage battery charger. Designed for

recreational and industrial applications, their 120-volt, 60 Hz AC power output is capable of handling

both heavy duty and smaller, multiple AC loads. PROsine inverters include a backlit LCD display panel,

which can be mounted remotely.

·         1000 and 1800 watt inverters (1500 and 2900 watt surge capability)

·         True sine wave AC output (crystal controlled)

·         Removable LCD display can be mounted remotely for control and monitoring

·         Unique DC terminals offer 180-degree connections for easy installation in tight places

·         Power save mode draws only 1.5 watts under no load

Protection Features

·         Over temperature shutdown and automatic overload protection

·         Over voltage and under voltage protection

·         Short circuit and AC back feed protection

Options

·         Available in 12 and 24 volt models

·         Models available with GFCI AC outlet or AC hardwire terminal strip for permanent installation into

an electrical system (optional 15 A transfer switch available with hardwire option)

Ultra-clean true sine wave power

With less than 3% total harmonic distortion, PROsine 1000 and 1800 inverters deliver true sine

wave output that is identical to AC power supplied by your utility. This clean output makes PROsine

inverters ideal for handling sensitive loads and improves AC equipment performance. Expect trouble-free

true sine wave electricity for televisions, audio systems, variable speed tools, and more.

Light and compact

PROsine inverters are lighter and more compact than other inverters with similar power ratings

because they use high-frequency switching technology in the power conversion process.

Buy a hydrogen-powered car in 2015…at least in California

Wed, 08 Jan 2014

At the Consumers Electronics Show this week Toyota claimed that a production version of its four-door midsize FCV concept fuel cell sedan will hit showrooms some time in 2015. Toyota has been investing in fuel-cell technology for the past 20 years, and since 2002 it has been testing and developing prototypes primarily in North America. Toyota claims that it has reduced the cost of producing a fuel-cell powertrain, and has estimated a 95 percent cost reduction in the powertrain and fuel tanks for the 2015 production model versus the 2002 prototype.

Scion iQ (2011) revealed

Fri, 02 Apr 2010

The 2011 Scion iQ - a Toyota iQ in any other place - will hit the US market The Scion name is one of those car ‘Makes’ that is well known over there but unheard of over here. So although the headline will mean something to our Colonial Cousins, most in Blighty won’t have a clue. So before we cover the Scion iQ, perhaps we ought to cover Scion in general.
