XAT Racing 1uz to cd009 transmission adaptor plate. In good condition has some surface rust will try to wet sand it off before shipping, bought at the same time I bought the clutch in the beginning of may never got the swap to work parting out the car and cutting my losses. The plate fit multiple transmission will include the bolts to bolt up the plate to the motor. The transmission bolt will need to be shortened or the need of spacers... I prefer shorten custom cut transmission bolts as the plat has bolt through holes and the longer Z33/34 bolts will touch the block 1 not allowing the transmission to sit flush or you over torquing and cracking something on the engine side. You will also have to remove the dowel pins from the motor as the plate holes are too small to fit them at least the 94- pins were. The plate fits great flush with the motor has good spacing to the oem flex plate with both oem spacers doesn't touch or scrape has factory starter clearance. |

Volcanic Ash – bad for your car’s paintwork
Wed, 21 Apr 2010Volcanic ash on the back of our test Range Rover Sport Who says we don’t do consumer advice at Cars UK? We know that the Government claims every jet will fall out of the sky if they fly with even a cup full of volcanic ash in the atmosphere. The argument goes that all that dust and stone and rubbish will get sucked in to the engines, melt and then solidify to trash the engine.
Cars aren’t to blame for Global Warming – it’s down to fat people!
Tue, 21 Apr 2009Being fat creates an extra tonne of Co2 emissions a year Much as I’m prone to warn against blindly believing the ‘Cars are destroying the Planet’ mantra we hear every day, it’s not me laying the blame at the feet of our chubby readers. The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicines has made the claim, for a variety of reasons, explained by Dr Phil Edwards who said “Walking around in a heavy body is like driving a gas guzzler”. But of course, that needs a little extra explanation to put it in to context.
Audi R8
Tue, 03 Oct 2006Audi has unveiled the new R8 supercar, closely based on the Le Mans concept that was shown three years ago in Frankfurt. The two-seat car uses a shortened version of the Lamborghini Gallardo platform, and is powered by a 4.2-liter V8 using FSI technology first introduced by the A2. Like the now-obsolete small car the R8 is also constructed of an aluminum space-frame, keeping weight down to 1360kg.
