XL/Shovelhead Guide R68 Tail Light Illumination Lens   (OEM Glass, 1968-L)

OEM glass lens for Guide R68 tail light assemblies!

There are two types of the Guide Series tail lights:  early ('55-'67) and late ('68-L.)    Early assemblies used a smooth, arched glass lens that followed the contour of the housing.  The late style was less arched, had a "plateaued" profile with raised, squared edges around the perimeter.  This is the late version, correct for '68-later Guide 68 bodies.

No cracks, and it has the traditional "I.G.C" mold data and "GUIDE 97 SAE L 68" scripts.    To date, we still don't know what the I.G.C. reference means, specifically, but we suspect it refers to the originating glass manufacturer.

Millions of Ford vehicles recalled for engine-fire risk are still unrepaired

Fri, 22 Oct 2010

About 8.4 million Ford vehicles that can possibly catch fire remain on the road because of lack of owner information even after the largest U.S. safety recall ever, regulators said Thursday. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration urged owners of the 14 million vehicles recalled between 1999 and 2009 for leaky cruise-control switches to take their unrepaired vehicles in to dealers.

Citroen to revive the DS – sort of

Tue, 03 Feb 2009

It went on to spawn the legendary Citroen SM – a Maserati powered ‘Supercar’ – and its place in Citroen’s history is assured as the most significant model produced by the French manufacturer (together with the 2CV, at the other end of the cost scale). Citroen SM Supercar - Spawned from the legendary Citroen DS So it seemed like good news when we heard that Citroen was to revive the DS marque. But sadly, it doesn’t seem so.
