Traditionally auto manufacturers have been producing cars with composite headlamp units made from either polycarbonate or acrylic materials. While these elements are great for the design aspect, they have a tendency to deteriorate over time. Polycarbonate lenses can become cloudy and discolored due to oxidation caused by harmful UV rays, and become pitted by rocks, road salt, debris and sand. This pitting and cracking not only affects the appearance, but it also reduces the performance of your lights. XPEL film is designed to protect from all of these elements. Acting like a wax, the adhesive fills in the surface defects, creating a shiny consistent surface while protecting from any further damage. XPEL Headlamp Protection Film is a patented, 30 mil (.030 inch) thick, high performance self adhesive PVC film with a scratch resistant polyurethane coating, designed to protect glass and polycarbonate lighting surfaces from the harmful effects of stone chips, abrasion and weathering. This film is exceptionally conformable when heated for ease of application over the most complex contours. The car's front - minus the hybrid-style closed grille - pretty much represents the new face of the sixth-generation production Jetta due on sale this November, and its syling is informed by the latest Polo as well as some recent concepts from the German brand. Thu, 16 Jul 2009By Richard Webber First Official Pictures 16 July 2009 15:50 We’ve scooped a brace of spy shots showing the next generation of Hyundai 4x4s – a facelifted Santa Fe and the iX35, the all-new successor to the Tucson. Both will use Hyundai’s high performance ‘R’ turbodiesel engines and the choice of a manual or new automatic six-speed ‘box. It’s largely derived from the iX-onic concept shown at Geneva in March 2009, including the snake-eye side glass profile (which has been obscured at the rear on this mule) and at least some of the muscle on the wings.
