I blame the poor starter engagement, The starter motors would just spin and nothing would happen. Riders got frustrated and parked them; then having to drop the _heavy_ motor to pull a top-end was just too much. If your starter just spins, flip the #2 gear over, save $65.
These heads are essentially bare, just heads, vales, springs, collars, and keepers. These fit all 920s and drop on to 1000s and 1100s (you've got to plug the pipe-end of that silly re-breather), bumping compression a little 'cos of the smaller squish area.
So don't toss that Virago just yet. Try freshening the top-end (working on a _big_ bore kit)., and see if that does the trick.

Scion sets sticker prices on limited-production xD, xB models
Thu, 29 Sep 2011Scion has set base pricing for its 2012 limited-production xD and xB automatic models at $16,980 and $18,840, respectively, including delivery charges. For the manual-transmission versions, prices for the xD and the xB increase to $17,780 and $19,790 respectively. Both models debuted at the Texas State Fair on Thursday and are slated to begin filtering into dealerships in October.
