Y Block Ford Truck Oil Pan, 272, 292, 312, Use For Street Rod In Old Chassis 1 on 2040-parts.com

Willow Springs, Illinois, United States
Condition:Used Warranty:No

Y Block Ford truck oil pan with rear oil pick up, including screen and tube.

This pan can be used for installing the 272, 292, 312 engine in an original truck, but also can be used for installing these engines into an older Ford chassis, such as a Model A, or a 1940 Ford, like a coupe.

The regular car oil pan has a front sump, but the truck pan has the rear sump. The older Ford chassis has the steering gear in a location that would interfere with the front sump. Using the truck pan makes it possible to use the Y Block, which would permit installing a Ford in a Ford.

Was purchased for a project that was stopped due to health reasons.

2013 Maserati Quattroporte night testing (video)

Sat, 29 Dec 2012

Maserati has released a video of the 2013 Quattroporte out night testing ahead of a Detroit Auto Show public debut. The new Quattroporte is bigger and more powerful than the current model and leaves Maserati room to introduce a smaller version – the new Maserati Ghibli – to take on the sports saloons from BMW, Mercedes and Jaguar. To be honest, the video tells us little we don’t already know about the new Quattroporte (except perhaps that it has frameless glass in the side windows), but it does indicate how keen Maserati are to keep the new Quattroporte’s PR momentum on the move ahead of its debut.

Bentley Arnage replacement to take on Rolls Royce

Sun, 12 Apr 2009

Bentley's replacement for the Arnage in 2010 will go upmarket to compete with the Rolls Royce Phantom Bentley has revealed that after Arnage production finally ends in September it will be a full year before the replacement for the Arnage surfaces. Now the sceptics amongst us may put this down to the fact that Bentley are struggling to sell the cars they already make in the current climate, never mind producing an even more luxurious and expensive model. But Bentley say it’s so they can put a clear line under the current Arnage before its replacement arrives late in 2010.

Toyota Hybrid Challenge: How Slow Can You Go?

Mon, 04 Apr 2011

Toyota Hybrid Challenge - Beware: Slow(er) moving Hybrid Ahead We’ll be the first to admit it: Toyota hybrids can achieve some pretty remarkable feats of economy. Trouble is, only if you’re happy to drive like you hate it with a passion. And that doesn’t mean thrashing the life out of your Toyota hybrid to get there as quickly as possible, because if you do you’ll probably get worse mpg than if you just had the Atkinson cycle lump without the hybrid gubbins.
