Among the criteria for a replacement for "The Beast" was the following: "This solicitation is restricted to Major Domestic U.S Automobile Manufacturers, who have their primary headquarters located in the United States of America." Well, with that came the suggestion that Chrysler -- now entirely underneath the banner of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles -- reports to somewhere far, far away from its nominal H.Q. in Auburn Hills, Mich.
Subaru Cross Sport Design and Viziv Evolution concepts at the Tokyo Motor Show 2013
Fri, 22 Nov 2013Subaru showed two other concepts alongside the Levorg at the Tokyo Motor Show – both of which are interesting, neither of which came with very much information. The Subaru Viziv Evolution proposes a three-motor hybrid all-wheel drive system, similar to that under development by Honda, while the Subaru Cross Sport Design concept appears to be nothing less than a shooting brake estate version of the BRZ. New technology combats drowsy driving
Mon, 20 Dec 2010Auto supplier Takata is introducing a new driver-alertness warning system to the commercial trucking industry to keep drivers awake. The SafeTrak electronic vision system sounds an alert if a trucker is driving erratically or unintentionally drifting from a lane. A recent AAA study for traffic safety found that drowsy driving is a contributing factor in 16.5 percent of fatal car crashes in the United States.
