Please, folks--if you use the best offer feature and we accept your offer, you've bought a pair of outboard motors! If you hit buy it now, you've bought them! Please don't waste time (money) by messing around and not going through with the deal. This is relisted because someone (that's you Kiazer) wasn't serious and never responded to a single email--it cost us a week. These are really for sale and if you want them we'd like to sell them to you. That does mean you'll have to actually pay for them, though!

Here are a pair of 1995 Yamaha 150hp V6 2-Stroke Saltwater Series motors and most of the rigging. They both have BRAND NEW OEM (NOT aftermarket) lower units on them (we have receipts at over $2600/each)! That's right, no hours on new lower units. NADA puts the (fair condition) price at 2200 for each of these motors, you can buy the pair here for slightly more than the cost of just the new lower units! And these are definitely nicer than "fair" condition-- I'd call them Very Good. Plus, get thousands of dollars worth of Yamaha rigging included at that price!

What is included:

-1 Standard-rotation 150hp motor with electric tilt/trim, new OEM lower unit and water pump
-1 Reverse-rotation 150hp motor with electric tilt/trim, new OEM lower unit and water pump
-Stainless props for both motors
-External oil tanks/pumps, hoses
-External water separating fuel filters on brackets
-Yamaha fuel management system including flow guage/totalizer and sensors
-Tachs with trim indicators, warning systems for both motors
-Digital speedometer
-704 Dual control binnacle with tilt/trim
-Dual ignition switches with electric chokes, keys and safety lanyard
-Throttle cables (appropriate for a 26 foot boat)
-Shift cables (appropriate for a 26 foot boat)
-Wiring harnesses and motor to battery cables
-SeaStar hydraulic steering cylinder
-Engine steering tie-bar

These motors were installed by the factory on a new 1995 Grady-White 263 Chase. They ran but it was decided to re-power the boat with new Yamaha 4-Strokes and digital controls. Cold compression was tested and it was even and consistent across all 12 cylinders, with the exception of one cylinder on the port (reverse rotation) motor, which showed about 15 lbs lower than the rest. It seemed to run fine, and I thought the compression would probably come up with use- and possibly a dose of Yamaha "ring free" additive. The cowls were resprayed in the correct Yamaha blue and look excellent. There are a couple of splices in one of the engine harnesses, done correctly. All 12 cylinders have fresh NGK plugs. Both motors have all new fuel pumps and on-motor filters. Note that not every wiring harness that's required is included, a couple stayed with the boat and new motors.  Look at the photos, if it's in the pictures it's included.  If it's not in a photo don't assume it's included, please ask.

This is a very strong pair of counter rotating engines and we believe they represent a great value at the price! They're available for shipping (they've been crated in Yamaha shipping crates) worldwide at the buyer's expense, or for local pickup in Aurora, IL. Please email with any questions. Thanks!

New options make Prius pricey

Mon, 02 Mar 2009

High-tech features and luxury options will push the redesigned Toyota Prius into new territory--namely, $30,000-plus. The 2010 Prius hybrid will offer options found on luxury cars: systems that automatically park the car in a parallel parking space and slow the vehicle when a crash is likely. But Toyota is aware of a new competitor--the 2010 Honda Insight, a hybrid that is a little smaller and expected to be less expensive than the Prius.

Saab bidding closed, buyer announced soon

Tue, 28 Feb 2012

We should know the buyer of Saab soon The Swedish press have been told that the bidding on Saab has now closed and that the successful buyer will be announced shortly. It’s amazing how much interest – and speculation - there is around the demised Saab; so much so we’ve probably reported as much on Saab after its demise as we did when it was in the throes of turmoil. Saab’s administrator, Hans Bergqvist, has revealed that the bidding process is now closed and that he will be talking to Saab stakeholders to discuss the bids and confirm which of the number of bidders is successful.

Vygor Opera: An ugly Crossover from Italy

Tue, 11 Oct 2011

Vygor Opera We all know Italy has problems at the moment, as it seems Silvio Berlusconi has maxed out the State Credit Cards. But the problems are much bigger than we thought if the newly revealed Vygor Opera is anything to go by. Italy has always had style, and a stroll through Milan could make you think Italy is one big fashion house, as impossibly stylish Italians promenade their stuff.
