Smart ForTwo

Tue, 14 Nov 2006

First launched in 1998 as the MCC Smart City Coupe, the ForTwo has been redeveloped as it moves towards the North American market. Length has increased from 2.5m to just under 2.7m - for greater crash protection and more trunk space, which now stands at 340 liters when packed to the roof. Regulations have also seen the IP straightened out, though the prominent air vents remain.

MG TF – finally built at Longbridge. Plus mystery MG

Mon, 02 Jun 2008

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 02 June 2008 12:18 After a series of twists, turns, delays and wildly ambitious claims more akin to a Miss Marple whodunnit, MG has finally built its first TFs at the Longbridge plant in the West Midlands. We've seen the first TF LE500 models at Longbridge and we hear they will be in dealers soon, priced at around £16,000.  What's changed since the last 2005 cars? These early pre-prototypes look virtually unchanged, but now come with a body-coloured hard-top, leather seats, air-con and improved interior plastics as standard. The cars pictured here have the new standard-fit glass rear screen, wind deflector, 16in alloys in shadow chrome or satin-black finish and the new piano black interior trim and revised dials.

London is parking charge capital of the world

Sun, 29 Sep 2013

We already know London is home to more multimillionaires than any other city in the world, but given the cost of living in our capital, this is hardly surprising. And now, to further highlight London’s increasingly extravagant status, it turns out it’s the most expensive place in the world to park your car as well. On Bing: see pictures of car parks in London UK car parks now accepting conkers as payment.
