Nissan Qashqai production increased – jobs created

Nissan has increased production of the Qashqai to cope with demand We thought the original Nissan Qashqai was a decent car. It looks set to improve in a number of important areas when the 2010 Qashqai hits showrooms in March, and it seems that the great car buying public is in agreement as Nissan has just announced that they are to increase production at their plant in Sunderland to cope with demand for the new Qashqai. Dok-ing Automotive contest calls for fresh interior designs

Dok-ing Automotive has launched a global sketch contest calling for interior designs for its XD concept.  Launched in collaboration with the Automotive Design Conference, the Croatian carmaker wants to see new, fresh and luxurious interior designs that embody its company slogan – ‘Driving First Class'. The XD's high-quality materials, colors, shapes along with the doors and seating layout offers a lot of scope for personalization through the use of color and material and so the design needs to be easy to alter in production. Your submission has to include three seats, three touchscreens on the dashboard (a 12″ central screen and two 17″ screens on each side) as well as the Dok-ing Automotive logo.

Lexus LF-CC

Lexus is set to debut the LF-CC mid-size coupe concept at next week's Paris motor show that will give us a glimpse of the design and technology ideas that will influence the brand's future models. The LF-CC shares a lot of the same design cues featured on the LF-LC 2+2 sports coupe concept seen in Detroit in January, not least the new spindle-shaped grille that are found on all new Lexus models. It is set in a deep, metal-finish surround and is framed by the hood lip, deep lower spoiler and the projecting front wing tips – this is designed to give it a 3D look.
