I have a 2006 Yamaha F225 Outboard Motor with 83 hours on it. It is a 2005 MFD, 2006 Model put into service in 2009. This thing is literally brand new. It runs like a top. I just had all new filters installed, injectors professionally cleaned, new sensors, new water pump... About $1500 worth of maintenance. During the last maintenance review they found it is leaking oil in the middle chamber. Needs a new oil pump and bushing in the middle chamber. Estimated at $800 for parts. Has a stainless prop in great condition. Seriously runs perfect and with a new oil pump, seal and bearing she is ready to go. There is NO Corrosion on the motor. It looks brand new under the cowling.
I am going repower the boat up in power so your mechanical ability is your gain and my loss. If you are local to Buffalo and can/want to remove it from my boat and take all cables, gauges and controls, I am open to discussion. Power trim, power steering, controls all work great. If you are not local, I could have it taken off along with the other stuff for your pickup solution. I am open to all reasonable offers. Can easily run the boat for a test run any time before ice forms. Like I said, it runs fantastic. The GOLD Yamaha dealer said the same thing, runs perfect. It makes a bearing noise is what I had checked out. I also included the motor's title. You can see the year MFD and date in service. Call Yamaha and give them the motor ID #. they will tell you the same thing also no recalls on the motor, no salvage etc... it's a very clean motor. It is listed for sale locally so I reserve the right to remove this listing early should it sell. If you need ot have it shipped, I will do whatever I can to help but I am not going to take that project on myself. I will help you find resources locally to crate and ship it on your dime. |
